Why does it matter to know if you’re a wounded healer? (Even if you’re not a “healer”) ❤️‍🩹

By Lian Brook-Tyler

Jonathan and I have taught for many years that the greatest gifts are found in our deepest wounds… it’s the underlying principle that our work in our year-long Medicine crucible of guiding people to uncover their soul’s purpose and become their unique medicine is based upon.

And yet, looking through the lens of the Wounded Healer provides another level of clarity and compassion to this work, which is perhaps the deepest of healing soul alchemy it’s possible to do.

This is just some of what we’ve seen that consciously working with the Wounded Healer provides:

✨ A crystal clear understanding of where exactly our wounds lie and the areas of life in which they show up (it’s not always obvious even when we’ve already been in this work for a long time). Our personalised Wounded Healer Illuminations have prompted responses such as… “Holy Moly, this is so accurate!”, “OMG! This is so illuminating!”

✨ Deep compassion and a healthy pride in ourselves for how we’re journeying with sovereignty through the aspects of life that can still be painful or challenging because they poke those very wounds.

✨ Awareness and authenticity about where there’s still healing work for us to do - aka more precious soul treasure to be found.

✨ Unimaginable potency of the work we do with others because it’s coming from our Sacred Wound… The very place we are broken open to power, grace and love flowing through us.

“The wound is the place where the Light enters you.” - Rumi

The people called to Medicine ‘24 may well already be change-workers (such as coaches, spiritual practitioners, and guides) but are now ready to work deeply, honestly and lovingly with the Wounded Healer inside themselves - along with embodying their own unique expression of the magical archetype their soul is calling them to embrace, despite the understandable resistance… maybe Medicine Man or Woman, Priest or Priestess, Seer, Alchemist, Shaman, Wisdom Keeper, or Sage.

They will embark on the mythical journey of a lifetime.

Are you meant to be one of them?

All my love,

Lian
